Single Session Projects:
Starting with the Tree of Life, learn the basics of stained glass. It is for beginners or those with minimal experience age 13 and above. All tools and materials are provided for use during the workshop. Workshops are designed to encourage individual artistic expression. Each is done with a unique personal style. Most classes are from 9am to 3pm with a lunch break. Family groups are welcome and younger students will be considered.

Tree of Life
This is the first class in which you will learn basic skills including glass cutting, foiling and soldering. You will create a free form tree using the copper foiled method with assorted colors. This is an intensive yet satisfying way to learn with individual creativity. All materials included.

LEVEL II PROJECTS
Requirement: Tree of Life class or equivalent. Choose from any of the following single session projects.
Copper foil technique unless otherwise specified. Classes are from 9am to 3pm with a lunch break.
Materials are included:
Sunburst
Prerequisite: Tree of Life
This project can be done with straight cuts or flowing curves around a circle. Use my pattern or design your own to create a copper foiled radiating multi toned amber sun.

Quilt Squares
Prerequisite: Tree of Life
Learn to make accurate straight cuts. I will provide 2″ precut squares, 1″ strips, an assortment of beveled glass and many design ideas. Create a bold colorful copper foiled geometric design of your own.

Birds on a Branch
Prerequisite: Tree of Life
This project will use the ancient lead came technique.
Create a free form bird or 2 on a twisted lead branch with glass leaves and optional flowers. Use my pattern or create your own. You must scrub hands well after handling lead. I have a special cleaner.

Feathers
Prerequisite: Tree of Life
Make one or more feathers of your own design and colors. A mobile is a possibility!

3D Flower or Succulent
Prerequisite: Tree of Life
Make leaf or petal shapes that will be soldered into a 3 dimensional design. Pieces are then inserted into a clay pot (included) or finished as a hanging piece.
Bring snug fitting leather gloves if possible for handling hot pieces. (Check your local thrift shop.)

Beveled Star or Snowflake
Prerequisite: Tree of Life
Start with a clear beveled 5 pointed star or 6 pointed star. Design your own finished piece with colored or clear glass. Learn how to use a protractor to measure angles for accuracy.

Mountain Landscape
Prerequisite: Tree of Life
Design your own mini landscape, either winter or summer colors, either straight lines or fitted curves.
$95.
Mushroom Cluster
Prerequisite: Tree of Life
Design your own with gentle fitted curves and fitted background shapes.

1 project per couple, beginner or Level II. Create a larger scale single creation such as a treescape. Any 2 people can work together: friends, parents, partners, siblings…Submit to me your ideas! Request a date for 2 couples.

Weekend (2 day) Leaded Window Class
Prerequisite: Completed Tree of Life Class or equivalent.
2 days, 9am to 3pm. 4 students only.
Create a 9″ square panel with the original medieval lead came method. Start with a small leaded practice piece. Safe handling of materials will be emphasized.
Materials are included.
Guidance on creating an original design will be taught.
$325.
Private Instruction:
Private or Semi-Private Instruction
$80. per hour for one student, semi-private 60. per hour each for 2 students. Minimum one 3 hour session ($240.): beginning, intermediate, or advanced. Materials for a Tree of Life, if selected, included, but glass and metal for other projects can be purchased. Use of tools, equipment, and chemicals included.
It might be possible to make a tree in 3 to 4 hours.
