Behind the old mill in Allentown, NJ, where I had a gallery for many years, the many domestic ducks and geese made it their home. The border design here was inspired by the the children’s author and illustrator, Jan Brett, who had a story in the border art work on each page. All details are permanently painted and fired. It is framed in zinc.

This is a story about dreaming of the future. I imagined where I wanted to be and made this piece in 2009. In 2010 we found our Vermont home. It very closely resembles where I now live.
The border was inspired by the decorative style of William Morris, a designer during the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th century. It is painted and fired.
