Ok, this 22 inch snow storm of the weekend has left me home today, doing some of my usual work on the home computer. So I thought why not check in on Karen Deets and treat myself to her eye candy of magnificent stained glass creations and was immediately updated to the beauty of the current work. Seeing it first hand, even this site cannot do it justice!!! Hope to visit your studio soon!!! |

Hello Karen! I met you today at the country store in Allentown, I admire your work that sits in the windows everyday. So glad I got the chance to meet and speak with you on how you make your peices. I was blown away on your site, TRULY BEAUTIFUL! Hope in the near future i will be able to take one of your classes. |

Hello Karen: Nice to see you are still at it. Been a few years since we all were together...I found the article from last year's examiner which announced the end of your store...I checked out your site and found you to be...putting out some incredible work. You were always the one...talent and business sense... |

Hey, Karen! I finally "dropped in" at your web site. Nice job on the site and, of course, great art glass. Ever think of creating some pieces ala the Arts and Crafts era? Maybe pieces inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Craftsman architect. I see some of that in the wedding gift piece you did. Just a thought...

"WOW! I love what you have done with your new kiln. I truly enjoy your blog and your artwork. I look forward to seeing and purchasing items that you have created using the kiln. When will they be available and how can I place an order?"---------To Mary: I have immediately incorporated painted detailing into my work. See images under "Custom" and "Contemporary" and "Home" to see these pieces. New doors are opening with great possibilities. After I gain more expertise in painting, next will be fusing glass pieces together as elements in my pieces!
